Friends of Governor Dodge State Park

The goal of the Friends of Governor Dodge State Park (FGDSP) is to recognize the broad range of activities and interests that bring people to visit the park. It is their hope to enhance those visits by allowing you, as members of FGDSP, to actively participate in supporting the park in various ways: volunteer for active projects such as candlelight skis or cleanups, take an interest in long range planning issues, or develop leadership skills within the group.

Dues are on a calendar year basis, but there are many ways to contribute, so please do not hesitate to join if you don't have the membership fee to pay out just now. They will gladly make use of your time instead. They have projects large and small where you can use and develop your talents.

The FGDSP holds meetings at the Park office on the second Thursday of each month, at 6:30 PM.

Dues are $10 for individuals, $20 for families, $100 for corporations, but any donation amount is wlecome.

Friends & Park Address: 4175 State Highway 23, Dodgeville, WI 53533.

Tell 'em Ring Game sent you!

Sarah's Jello Stuff

After many delays, here at last is Sarah Lang's recipe for her "Jello Stuff" that she has brought to many a Ring Game party. I actually had this entered on this page some months ago, but then I forgot to upload the revised .HTML page. D'oh! So, here it is at last:

2 large or 4 small Jell-o boxes (12 ounces total), any flavor(s)
2½ cups boiling water
Stir together until Jell-o is completely dissolved. Cool on counter 30 minutes.

1 small box pudding mix (3.4 ounces), any flavor
1 cup milk
Whisk together until smooth. Stir into Jell-o. Pour into very lightly greased pan and refrigerate until set.

Some especially good combinations:

• Orange/banana
• Cherry/chocolate
• Lemon/cheesecake
• Peach/raspberry/vanilla

My apologies again to Sarah for taking so long to get this online. I'm clearly of Diminished Responsibility.

Ring Game Links!

OK, some of these are not really "Ring Game" links, but they relate in some way, however distantly. In no particular order, then, here they are:

The NEW web site for the Second Age Alliance!
The official site of Governor Dodge State Park, home of Ring Game.
Join the Ring Game e-mail list (your best source for pre- and post-Game smack-talk!)
New! Here's a link to Erik Andersen's Ring Game pages.
New! There's now a Ring Game group on Facebook, as well as one on MySpace, if you're in to that sort of thing. I dunno if these links will work if you're not logged on to those sites.
Bill Masino himself asked me to add a link to "Fellowship 911," even though I've been able to get the video to work.
Speaking of Bill, here's a link for "3 Pints Gone," his and Kathleen's Celtic Music combo.
Here's a link for The Northern Horde, a a medieval entertainment group located in the Janesville/Delevan area, that holds four gladitorial contests each year (fights are round-robin style with trained warriors using weapons made out of padded rattan). Contact Lady Tatiana if you're interested in getting involved.
The Famous Stacey Lee (not really an RG site, but you can see her costuming stuff if you search around a bit)
Bitter Pill (the unofficial rock band of the unofficial web site!)
Leonard "Mr. Spock" Nimoy's music video of "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins." Not a joke! Not for the faint-hearted!
Hard-core Middle-Earth rap from "The Lords of the Rhymes." Elf booty got soul! Now complete with a music video!
I was asked to post this link. Hoom hoom.
Be glad we live in America! Look what happens when you try this sort of nonsense in Kazakhstan!

Do you have a Ring Game web page? Send me the URL and I'll be happy to add it to this list!

NOTE: I do not check my Guestbook very often. In fact, I looked at it today and there were messages from 2006 that I never read. If you want to post a message that people will read, I recommend joining the Ring Game Yahoo Group.

I welcome feedback and constructive criticism! E-mail me with any comments, suggestions, ideas, etc! (Note: sorry, but I won't be posting the RG or SA rules on the web site.)
